MAGDRL: Catonsville PetSmart September 11, 2004
This page was created on September 11, 2004.
The Eastern MD Meet & Greet team spent the 3rd anniversary of 9-11 at the PetSmart in Catonsville. Our volunteers honored those who lost their lives on that tragic day by working to help other living things -- our MAGDRL orphans. Catonsville is one of our favorite stores and it felt good to be welcomed back. And as usual, we had a steady crowd of visitors all day. Maryland Meet & Greet Coordinator Eileen Edelblute came early, stayed late, and helped wherever needed! Here, Dane boy Jupiter welcomes a toddler who wants to help our MAGDRL orphans. At various times during the day, we were surrounded by kids. Under our watchful eyes of MAGDRL members, everyone had a positive "Dane experience."
Miss Merlot is the most gregarious Dane I've ever known. She loves absolutely every living thing! She's a terrific fundraiser, and adults, children, and animals love her! Today she wore a USA scarf in memory of 9-11. Here she goes nose-to-nose with a visitor's ferret. This little critter hissed at her, and Merlot backed up with surprise! She can't imagine why anyone wouldn't just love her!
Here's MAGDRL volunteer Kimberly Hardesty with her pretty 6 month old Dane puppy Maggie. She has grown by leaps and bounds! Look at Maggie a month ago on August 7 compared to today's photo. Maggie is going to be a very big female. At 6 months old, she almost weighs as much as Merlot who is 3 years old. She's a big bundle of sweet Great Dane puppy!
