On a hot summer day, MAGDRL volunteers came out to
support our monthly Meet & Greet at the PetSmart in Waldorf, MD. We had a
slew of 'adopters in progress' who came out to see our Danes before making a
final decision. We missed having our regular Team Leaders today, but it was great
that our volunteers stepped up to help! |

Pat Wilhelme brought out her
gorgeous Dane girl Jasmine (decked in pearls!) and her ultra-sweet boy
Bowser. Pat's husband Fred also brought their Dane boy Patriot and
cruised the aisles of PetSmart to attract interest in Great Danes. At left,
Miss Jasmine patiently allows a little visitor to pat her as her mom looks
on. At 4 years old, Jasmine has blossomed into a true Dane Ambassador!
Pat spent the day explaining adoption procedures and handing out information. We hope that seeing Danes up close and personal will help make a final decision for several adoption applicants. |

Our Southern Maryland Meet & Greet Coordinator Linda Maynard and our Maryland State Meet & Greet Coordinator Eileen Edelblute were unable to attend this event, but besides Pat and Fred and Maxine, volunteer Elizabeth Allison also came out to offer a helping hand. Thanks, Beth!!!! |

| It's the Dog Days of Summer and my Dane kids were decked out for the weather. Jupiter wore a matching baseball collar and leash, and Merlot wore a Hawaiian print collar and leash. Both of them did a great job of convincing folks that there's no better breed than Great Danes!!! | |||||
